Oh my gosh, I've waited all summer for vacation and it's finally here (almost). We're leaving this Friday for 10 glorious days in the Outer Banks. We're staying on Ocracoke island this year, which is at the southern tip of the OBX and only reached by a 40 minute ferry ride. It will be our first time staying here, AND our first time taking a family vaca with just the four of us. We usually go with my whole family, but with everyone living so far it's likely going to be an every other year trip from now on:( Anyway, Brent and i love the Outer Banks. Between the two of us, him having lived in Vanuatu and me in Hawaii, we've been to some gorgeous beaches and i have to say that these rival the best. We chose the end of the summer for the lower prices and less traffic and although it's taken for ever to get here i'm glad we've waited...it's a perfect way to end the summer.

my mom rented our house a year ago...can you believe it? clear since we went last year with jared's family!!!

T minus 72 hours...it's getting close! so after last night i think we need to just cut the middle MEN out of our communication - too much back and forth. i only have brent's contact info (cell & e-mail) because thats all dave has, but i need yours. i'm really not one of those wives who talks through her husband, forget that. so send me your info before you go just so i'll have it for whenever...

oh, that looks SOOOOO fun!!!! ahhhh... how i wish i could breathe in clean, salty beach air...
as for books, if it were me, i would just take the twilight series with me and re-read it there because that's how much of a 'tard i am. but let's see... what have i read lately? besides twilight stuff... i've read a lot of jane austen lately, read the atonement (i like this guy's writing style), the other boleyn girl (a little disturbing and started to get too graphic for me at the end), the scarlet pimpernel (this is a serious favorite of mine, i read it at least once a year)... the kite runner is a tear-jerker. ok, can't think anymore.
Im jealous! That's all I have to say about that! :) LOL LOL Have a great time - you both deserve it! When does Maddie start school? Will she miss the first day? That looks like a gorgeous place...then you have Las Vegas to look forward to!! Not so gorgeous, but the people are great and we're so excited to see you and Brody. Still wish Maddie was coming! My offer is still open. Have fun in NC. Love ya
